I wrongly downloaded & installed a fake anti-virus which turned out to be sort of virus itself. In this program there’s a contact, I sent to them asking for help, they replied to me sending an attachment and asked me to download it. I deleted the message, but felt scared that my email is known to them. Does this situation pose any risk.

One Response to “Is it dangerous if my email is known to a hacker, or a virus launcher. Can he/she do any harm to my computer?”

This is not a good thing,,,what you did,,,,but you never
open a email that is not one of your friends,,,,,,,,,,,,,

unless you have KASPERSKY or NOD32

So what is the executable file of this virus,??????????????

So they have your ip address,,,,,the only thing you have that anyone could want is bandwidth,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

What that means is they would use your pc to mail out stuff
besides that,,,,you don’t have anything they need,,,,,,,,,

So never let your firewall down and watch your system process’s,,,,,,,,,,,,,
